RDU - Raleigh-Durham International Airport

Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) sits between two cities and serves an entire region, the Research Triangle, one of the most educated, fastest-growing, and economically active corridors on the East Coast. This metal print captures that reach, built from ADS-B flight tracking data. Each flight path is colorized by altitude across your chosen palette.

This print visualizes all 6,907 flights recorded from September 25 through October 8, 2025, on the 78th anniversary of the day the Civil Aeronautics Board officially assigned the airport its RDU call sign. Every track, from touch-and-go to transcontinental departure, is rendered on an aluminum panel, fixing a specific moment in the life of one of the Southeast's most connected airports.
