BUF - Buffalo Niagara International Airport

Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF) is one of the oldest public airports in the United States, tracing its roots to 1926 and anchoring western New York's connection to the national air network. Positioned between two countries, it serves Buffalo, the broader Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area, and the southern Golden Horseshoe region of Ontario. This metal print captures that cross-border reach, drawn from raw ADS-B flight tracking data. Every flight path is colorized by altitude, and the palette is yours to choose.

This print visualizes all 7,570 flights recorded across 38 days beginning September 25, 2025, the 99th anniversary of the airport's founding as Buffalo Municipal Airport. Each climb, descent, and approach is plotted precisely, fixing a century of history at the exact moment it turned.
