AKL Flight Path Map - Auckland International Airport

Auckland International Airport (AKL) is New Zealand's primary hub for Air New Zealand and the country's only major long-haul gateway, on the Manukau Harbour shore at Māngere, 21 kilometres south of the city. This metal print is built from ADS-B flight tracking data, with every path colorized by altitude across your chosen palette.

The print shows all 9,916 flights recorded across 28 days beginning July 20, 2025, the 60th anniversary of the first DC-8 arrival from Long Beach that inaugurated the jet base at AKL. Printed direct-to-metal on an aluminum panel, it captures a specific moment in the life of one of the Southern Hemisphere's busiest airports.
